Green Recycled Glass Necklace - Original by Oscar Baron Artist's: "Make a fashion statement wearing one of our original recycled glass necklaces. With etching and carving on both sides, this glass necklace can be worn with either side facing forward. A twisted sterling silver jump ring attaches this piece to a 2.2mm, 18" (Princess) Fine Long and Short Chain Necklace.

Green Glass Pendant measures approx. 2 3/4" long x 1 1/8" wide (at its widest point). Sterling Silver Fine Long and Short Chain is a 2.2mm, 18" (Princess length) chain with a sterling silver jump ring."

Oscar Baron Artist's has some of the most beautiful and exquisite hand crafted glass jewelry that I have seen. I ahve a lto of wonderful thing's to say about Mike,a s we have been getting to know one another recently, however, I think he speaks about himself best:

"I have had an interest and passion for art since I was a small child. I am completely fascinated by the timeless beauty possessed by glass shapes. An almost “delicate permanence” if I may say. In the end, my art pieces are inspired from the poignant moments in my life. Through life's trials and tribulations, and having personally tread many miles upon the road of recovery, I am grateful and fortunate to have this opportunity to share my art with the world.
I am supported and encouraged by my incredible wife, my exceptional daughter, and our adopted stray cat. I often refer to Oscar Baron as we, since I could not do this without them.
Oscar Baron is my initial step in building a larger, philanthropic foundation. A foundation built to lead the way for natural human progression and to provide a fresh start for children and adults in our local communities through programs focused on entrepreneurship, self-development, and independence."
You have got to stop by and check them out! Also, please stay tuned for an upcoming Featured Artist spot here on "Till Death..." featuring Mike and Oscar Baron Artist's!!

Rustic Rings Silver Earrings by Lynn Krestel: "I love the silhouette of these hoop earrings.
Look - there's two - no three circles dangling sweetly!!

Three rustic silver circles hang on hand shaped oxidized sterling silver ear wires.
The silver is shaped, fused, and then forged to work harden and give texture.
The oxidation gives it an aged appearance. It is then polished to a beautiful sheen.
Dangle about 1 3/4"

Friday's Fashion Find's (F.F.F) NEW YEARS EVE BASH!!!!

Friday's Fashion Finds
NEW YEARS EVE PARTY!!
This week's Find's are a special Holiday Treat, NEW YEARS EVE PARTY!!! I have really had a special amount of fun with this one. I LOVE getting gussied up, and New Years parties are always fun, exciting and eventful!

This year, I was torn between black and silver, and I wanted something sparkly. Then I stumbled across the dress. The PARTY ALL NIGHT LONG Dress from Glamorita which was MADE for the New Years Eve party! Could it be more perfect. I actually want to buy one REALLY bad now! It's part flapper, part rocker, and all gorgeous!
I decided to go all black with this ensemble. I usually like to do a great pop of color in a shoe, a jacket, wrap, or bolero, and big, bold jewelry. This time however, I really felt the chicness of ALL black lended itself very well to the occasion. I varied my color only once, and that was in the choice of a SEXY Charcoal Bolero from Mary and Angelika. I wanted this piece to stand out just a little to give it just that little bit of added UMPH.
The jewelry on this ensemble is silver and black. A bold yet delicate Organic Fine Silver Bangle Cuff from Addiction to Detail wraps gently around your arm, an eye catching, yet subtle because of its color black Lava Stone and Silver ring from Jealousy Design lies gently on your finger. Finishing off the jewelry is an exquisitely delicate pair of Sterling Silver and black Lava Stone earrings from Lily Ja that are clean, simple and perfect. I love the use of the black Lava Stones in these two pieces of jewelry. It is rough and beautiful. In complete contrast to the sparkle and softness of the dress.
Finishing off this ensemble are a few key accessories. The gorgeous black Structured Clutch from Independent Reign gives you a little something to hold on to. The Notte Floria hair clip from Sweet Grass Mill is another fabulous nod in the flapper direction. And wrapping it all up are these SEXY Black Vintage Stiletto Pumps from Coktail Drink. How much do you want to wear these?!
I had a blast putting this ensemble together. I wish I was wearing it out for my own New Year's Eve celebrating this year!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

(Please click on image for larger view.)

From Left to Right:

Structured Mini - Black on Black from Independent Reign:  "A great accessory to add a casual, yet eye-catching interest to any outfit. Flat, square-cut sequins offer a subtle shine. You can't go wrong with black! Sleek, modern and bold. Wherever the night takes you, this bag should follow!
Perfect for upcoming Holiday Parties, makes a great gift (shipped in a glossy black box) and is also great to travel with, as it packs flat.
Bag has a modern, rectangular shape and is approximately 14" long and 6" high (to top of bag, not inc. handles). Each handle contains DOUBLE layers of a sturdy core wrapped in canvas and stitched through on each side. They are fully reinforced and will not bend under weight of bag contents.
*Please feel free to ask any questions or just submit a general comment. Thanks for browsing my shop and have a great day!* "
You can find Independent Reign at http://www.independentreign.etsy.com/

Sexy hot black pumps from Coktaildrink:  "These are the sexiest shoes ever! See for yourself! :)"
I kind of agree.
You can find Margerita and Coktaildrink at www.Coktaildrink.etsy.com

Lava drop earrings from Lily Ja: "A beautiful lava drop hangs from a sterling silver
hand-forged ear wire.
Length: approx. 1.6" / 4.2cm"
You can find Lily and Lilyja at www.Lilyja.etsy.com

Lava triangle - raw Lava stone and sterling silver ring from Jealousy Design: "Just look at this simple design together with the rough feeling of the lava stone and the hammered silver. It is so pretty!
The material is natural Lava stone and sterling silver. The silver is hammered to match the look of the lava stone. I have also left some of the marks that come up after soldering to make the silver look more like the stone.
The finish is high shiny.
The ring is not heavy in weight."
You can find Jealousy Design at www.Jealousydesign.etsy.com

POISON deep dark charcoal grey raw silk bolero from Mary and Angelica: "2009 VICTORIAN LOOK by Angelika Liv
Made of raw silk.Light.NOT LINED.
Also the flowers are handmade!
Something glamorous to cover your shoulders or wear over your WEDDING dress, or simple dress - this piece would add high fashion look."
You can find Angelika and Mary and Angelika at www.maryandangelika.etsy.com

ORGANIC FINE SILVER CUFF BRACELET from Addiction To Detail: "I used a sheet of fine silver as the main portion of my cuff. Squeezed and hammered many folds and wrinkles onto a sheet of fine silver to house “tiny bubbles” made of sterling silver.
Hammered wire for the framework. It is made of sterling silver to give the piece strength, fine silver alone would be too soft to wear as a cuff.
Did you know that…
• Fine silver is made up of 99.9% pure silver.
• Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper.
My cuff fits a wrist size of approximately 7”.
It has an opening of 1 1/4”, and is 1 1/4” high.
Who said wrinkles couldn’t be stunning?
The perfect 25th anniversary gift, but why wait, she'll love it now!"
You can find Candace and Addiction to Detail at www.AddictionToDetail.etsy.com

Glamarita PARTY ALL NIGHT LONG Custom Swishy Fringe Dress from Glamorita: "You are viewing an original flapper inspired fringe dress from Glamarita. This jersey swishy dress with a sequin bust is perfect for parties, clubbing and table dancing! I wore the prototype to this dress on New Year's Eve and COULD NOT STOP dancing all night long! It's flattering to all body types and the fringe hides a multitude of sins. Got a big booty? A bit of a tummy? No problem! The long layers of fringe on this dress mask any imperfections without being bulky. The straps are braided jersey strips that connect at the back in a "t" style.
You'll want to shake that booty all night long!!"
You can find Ronnie and Glamorita at www.glamorita.etsy.com

Notte Floria from Sweet Grass Mill: "The Floria clip in Black.
Feathers are carefully crafted into a little floret with a sparkly mix of glass gems and faceted rhinestones in the center. Black coque plume and spiky biot complete the petite "floral" arrangement. Coque feathers have beautiful natural green iridescence shimmering through the black.
Placed on an easy little alligator clip with teeth for comfy hold. Clip by itself measures about 1.25 inches in length. Covered in matching ribbon.
Wear with your little black dress to your next dinner party.....to a wedding.....or any special occasion."
You can find Sweet Grass Mill at www.sweetgrassmill.etsy.com

Friday's Fashion Find's (F.F.F)

This week's installment of Friday's Fashion Find's is inspired by Holiday Parties, gatherings, and a fun filled season.  Christmas is just around the corner, and Holiday Parties are on the brain.  The warm colors and fabrics of the season are what I loved finding this week.  As always, a little Vintage inspiration and bold jewelry choices are my cup of tea!

This week's selection of designers and artist's are a talented bunch!  Department Store clothes and accessories look so cheap to me in comparison to what these artist's make with their own 2 hands.  Who said "handmade" had to be frumpy?  These designers say otherwise!  This is couture at it's finest!!

(Click picture for larger view)

From Left to Right:

Copper Drama Earrings from Andrea at Full Moon Rising 3:  "Dramatic copper earrings with three different shaped triangles hand-cut and hand-hammered and then torched to produce extreme color. Long hand-forged copper earwires. They jingle and move. All sides are very smooth and comfortable.
Measure approximately 2 1/2 inches from earlobe. The color is more vivid than can be captured in a photo.
These earrings began as a sheet of copper and a roll of wire. They are original and one-of-a-kind."
You can find Andrea and Full Moon Rising 3 at: http://www.fullmoonrising3.etsy.com

Felted fine merino wool poncho sleeve jacket from Amanda at Sand Maiden:  "mid length lightweight jacket with draped poncho sleeves
Features funnel neckline closed with 3 black frogs.
This fabric is a little bit lightweight for wearing outdoors in the colder months, this jacket is best worn indoors as a sweater set or outdoors in moderate temperatures.
FABRIC:
We had this wool custom knit after searching the country wide for the right thing. Finally a lightweight felted wool jersey with lots of stretch and soft enough to sleep in although why would you do that? It has no itch and is just the right blend of cozy and sexy. Both the fiber and yarn were domestically milled and knit (in the USA) which I feel great about.
Hand dyed with low impact, color fast dyes in an array of colors."
You can find Amanda and Sand Maiden at: http://www.sandmaiden.etsy.com/

The argyle - luxury silk-lined clutch bag in soft suede leather from Rowena at Red Ruby Rose:  "This clutch purse is a tactile little beauty - featuring a butter-soft yellow suede leather with a striking argyle diamond pattern.
Firmly constructed and padded, it is soft to the touch but robust to carry and hold.
Lined with a beautiful black dupion silk for a little added luxury."
You can find Rowena and Red Ruby Rose at: http://www.redrubyrose.etsy.com/

Sandmaiden soy and organic cotton lycra jersey belted V dress from Amanda at Sand Maiden:  (Ya, she makes gorgeous stuff!!)
"Jersey below the knee length dress with oversized shoulder and body with pegged hem.
Features boatneck, side vents and shoulder vents, finished with a satin stitch overlock edge (not raw edges or variegated zigzag).
Comes with a wide sash that can be worn many different ways, finished with trupunto style variegated purple thread (solid thread in same color as fabric on request).
As with all Sandmaiden styles the grading, designs, patterns and sewing are done by me in my home so do request custom sizing."
You can find Amanda and San Maiden at: http://www.sandmaiden.etsy.com/

Violet Purple Hairpins Vintage Beads Crystals from Faro at OhFaro:  "Perfectly purple! Lovely shades ranging from lilac to dark orchid to magenta, in beads and crystals and Lucite. Made from damaged earrings. Fun!
Accents measure approx. 7/8 to 1 inch round. The hairpins measure 3 inches long and are gold plated. Overall measure approx. 3 inches long.
Nice vintage condition, expect some wear and evidence of age."
You can find Faro and Oh Faro at:  http://www.ohfaro.etsy.com/

Teal Silver Smudge Hand Stamped Heels Sz 10 from Rachel at Crafttastrophe:  "These shoes are such a beautiful mess!
These plain teal heels were just begging to be quirked up a little! Now that I've got my hands on them, they are kickin! These simple satin-like fabric heels have been hand stamped in varying sizes of gears and circles. I've also tossed in some tiny dots-just for good measure! They also feature an adjustable sleek silver buckle. So cute! The shoes are brand new and made from all man made materials. They have a sturdy 3 3/4in heel. The design has been stamped in high quality fabric paints. It is resistant to water and chipping. Expect normal wear and tear.
This is the only one there will ever be of this, so if you like it, snatch it up now!
Sz.10."
You can find Rachel and Crafttastrophe at: http://www.crafttastrophe.etsy.com/

GORGEOUS MIDNIGHT BLUE CLEOPATRA CUFF from Leanne at Wonder Candy:  "Fit for royalty - this cuff channels Cleopatra's beauty and hauture and commands a irresistible presence. A perfect complement on any wrist, this is a limited edition accessory that cannot be found elsewhere.
From a beautiful vintage cuff, a unique shell-embossed was mounted and topped with a captivating blue harlequin vintage opal glass cabochon and finished with Swarovski rhinestones. As the materials are hard-to-find, this will only be produced in very limited quantities.
This cuff measures approx 1.75" (or 40mm) tall and 2.5" (or 60mm) wide (as measured from a top down view). It will arrive well-wrapped and boxed to delight - Wondercandy way! Your satisfaction is my joy =)
If you have any questions, please ask!"
You can find Leanne and Wonder Candy at:  http://www.wondercandy.etsy.com/

Vintage 1970's Filligree Long Tassel Pendant from Tomato Red:  "This is a fabulous vintage tassel necklace! There is a rectangular filligree pendant(2 1/4"X 1 3/4") with 7 long chains (5inches) hanging from it. The goldtone pendant hangs from a double 30" long chains. In very good vintage condition! Thank you for shopping Tomato Red!"
You can find Tomato Red at: http://www.tomatored.etsy.com/

Labradorite Cushion Ring in 14k gold and Sterling from Madelynn at One Garnet Girl:  "This Blue to green cushion cut Labradorite cabochon measures around 3/4" in long and 1/2" wide.
I hand selected this stone because of it's extraordinary fire and overall flash of blue and geen. For some reason it reminds me of the library, argyle socks and librarians.
I hand made the setting which is a matte finish sterling with two 14k yellow gold accent balls.
Size 6."
You can find Madelynn and One Garnet Girl at:  http://www.onegarnetgirl.etsy.com/

Happy Holiday's!

Happy Holiday's and best wishes for the New Year to all my friends, family, fellow bloggers, and SITStas!

For me, there is nothing more important at the Holiday's than Family, be it friends or blood. We have a wonderful Christmas Tradition in my Family that started during the Great Depression. When my Grandmother was a kid, all that her family could afford for Christmas during the Depression was Oranges. Oranges were a very special treat. So as my Mom and Aunts and Uncle grew up, my Grandmother gave them Oranges in their stockings every year to remind them to be humble. That Christmas is not about all the toys and presents and getting stuff, but about being thankful for what you do have and the people that love you. The tradition has been passed down in my family to the 4th generation now. My Mom did it with me, and I do it with my kids. They love getting their Orange every year, and I love telling them the story behind the Orange.

Happy Holiday's all, and may your life be filled with many, many Oranges.

Serendipatiousness

Today has been a day filled with emails, sculpting leaves, screaming children, and good new friends. I have been an artist for all of my life. I actually cannot remember a time when I was not making something new out of something else. My Mom always instilled that creativity in me. I remember crying about messing up a drawing when I was little, and she took my "mistake" and turned it in to a pretty flower. "There are no mistakes in art." She said, "Only chances to make more art." That has stuck with me my whole life. I have tried to live my life that way . There are never mistakes, only chances for something new and perhaps unplanned (my living proof to this is my beautiful daughter Brooke). Serendipity is my favorite word. I guess I fly by the seat of my pants a bit, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I am so lucky to have been blessed with the ability to believe in myself and the things I do, no matter what the odds are against me. I have always been a black sheep. I have always marched to the beat of my own drum. Some might think me strange, I think I'm just me. That ability has led me to where I am today, which is the proud owner of my own small business, creating beautiful (Well, I think they're beautiful! LOL) pieces of art for people to adorn their bodies with. Who knows how far it will go. Far if I have my way, but regardless, I have learned so much already. About myself, about business, about the world. I have meet some INCREDIBLE new artists and people. I am so grateful for that. There is truly something to be said for meeting's of like minds. I am LOVING it!!!! (You all know who you are!) I am loving it, and them, so much that I plan on rolling out a series of guest blogs with some of these new, emerging talents. Since I have started on this little adventure of mine, I have discovered the sheer beauty of handcrafted items and the raw, unexposed TALENT of these artisans. I feel that it is my mission to somehow make the world aware. I feel a little icky now when I go into department stores. Seriously. In addition to the series of guest blogs, which you will definitely want to tune in for, I will also be starting a series called "Friday's Fashion Find's". This is my excuse to window shop the talented designers of Etsy and other places, and bring you the crème de la crème of emerging designers and handcrafting artisans. I AM SO EXCITED!!!! Stay tuned, these new and exciting things will begin unrolling in the next couple of weeks! Happy Holidays, and Happy Handmade Shopping to everyone! I am also new to Twitter, so please stop by and say HI if you are on there too! www.twitter.com/ArcoIris_hc . Have a fabulous day!

Inspiration

I was picking herb's out of my wonderful, fragrant herb garden on this sunny Thanksgiving. There is not much lovelier than the smell of fresh herbs being warmed by the sun. As I lazily clipped and picked and pruned, a lovely sound came from above me, and then all around. The beautiful, yellowing leaves of the tree's in my backyard were being pulled gently off the tree's by the slight breeze and were rustling and fluttering gently to the ground. It was like snow in its peacefulness. The slow, lazy way the leaves drifted and spun to meet the ground and cover it in a blanket of gold. I must say, I was enthralled. I think I must have just sat there, squatting next to my herb garden, watching, listening, relaxing and enjoying, for a good 10 minutes. It was a moment of pure bliss in an otherwise, hectic day and life. Some people go to church. I m happy going to nature. Even just those few brief minutes were enough to soothe and calm a relatively stressed out soul. I gave thanks for that. And for the screaming children that unavoidably interrupted that moment of peace and solitude as well. Of course! (LOL) I give thanks for those two every day of my crazy little life.
