P is for... Possibilities

Welcome to Friday's Fashion Find's!

P is for...POSSIBILITIES!!!

The Holiday's have been especially brutal for me this year, and so, of course, my mood had been slightly the worse for wear. In response to this, of course, my tastes have been a little rougher around the edges as well. So, needless to say, this week's Find's are edgy, beautiful pieces that are quite reflective of my mood. As I put these Find's together, I find myself enjoying the throaty vocalizations of Brody Dalle and some early Distillers. Can we say Angst?

Now, let me clarify, in my wise old age of 30 ( I know, I'm laughing at the "wise old" part too because I am neither wise, nor old) I have discovered that dressing with an edge can still be dressing beautifully. My edges have softened a bit I guess. So, in tribute to my "wise old" soul, (LOL) I have put together pieces that make me smile, reflect my mood, but cheer me up and are exquisitely beautiful.

I would very much like to THANK all the designer's not only this week, but who have participated in this adventure of mine so far. I truly love doing my Find's each week. Discovering new Find's and meeting all of you. Thank you for putting your amazing talent's out there into the world for me to find! Thank you as well to all of my Fan's so far. I would just be some Looney talking to myself without all of you! (And perhaps I still am) That all being said, here's what you all stopped by to see, this week's beautiful Find's. :)

Enjoy!

Fotini is the talented lady behind Milloo, and the shop Home Lab as well. I use Fotini's shops here, almost every week! I use her so much because she has such wonderful work. This particular bag, Kallia, is actually my FAVORITE in her collection and I plan on purchasing one for myself as soon as I can! Stop by her store, Milloo, and check out her wonderful collection of bags. If you are anything like me, and have a mild bag obsession, you will not be disappointed! FANCY PANTS from Taylor Says: "CUSTOM ONE OF A KIND SKINNY LEG JEANS! HAND DONE- ALL ORIGINAL ARTWORK!"

Taylor Reeve is the talented artist behind Taylor Says. She covers all sorts of medium's with her art, "canvas, shoes, surfboards, custom choppers, skate decks, or helmets" and has quite a lot of wonderful project's unfolding very soon! Here, let Taylor tell you about what she's got coming up! "Taylor currently is linked with several companies within the action sports community. Taylor recently signed on with Quicksilver- creating two pattern designs that will be used in the 2011 men's snow outerwear collection! Taylor also is a featured artist with Dragon Optical. Her collection of Moto Goggles and Sunglasses are debuting this spring! (www.dragonalliance.com ) Taylor also is custom motorcycle builder Jesse Rooke's artist... her custom choppers can be viewed at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas!" Can we say busy and lucky girl! :) I knew none of this when I first spied Taylor's shoes, and then these pant's, but somehow I am not surprised! She is one talented lady! Oh and Taylor, P.S. I am so jealous that you are Jesse Rook's artist! He makes some of the sexiest chopper's around! Good for you! Keep an eye on this one, it would seem she is Red Hot!

Lust for Life Top from I Heart Fink: "This unique top is handmade from scratch and one of a kind. We screen printed dark red fabric using our original spider web design and dark pink ink. We gave this piece a dangerously plunging neck line, a tapered waist and lots of stitched details at the waist. Very sexy, totally unique and lots of fun to dress up or down.

Measurements as follows *please keep in mind we used cotton jersey knit fabric and it does have some give the way t-shirts do *this is a small size
bust 32 - 34"
waist 29"
hips to 35"
from shoulder to hem 26"
*the plunging neck does fall below the bra line - great without a bra, with a bra that is made for extremely low cut garments or with any sweet special undergarment!"

Well, I told you the gal's from I Heart Fink would be back again. These lovely ladies make too much pretty clothing to be ignored! I simply cannot help myself! I don't know if it is the hand dyed fabric, wrought with their own original artwork, or the elegant simplicity of their design's, or all of it put together, but I love what these ladies do! If you don't understand yet what it is that I am talking about, stop by their shop, and take a peek for yourself. I promise you that you will not be disappointed! Here's what Kristen and Karen say about themselves: "Aries is a Fire Sign, and Libra is an Air Sign. Air fuels Fire and keeps it going; Libra can be intellectually stimulated by the action and energy of Aries, and both Signs are always starting new things -- they just need to learn how to do it together! When they combine their energies, they can do anything.....so here you see how we combine our energies and live up to our cosmic potential by making pretty clothes." Cosmic potential indeed ladies!

OK, all I can say about Luxkool is WOW!! I LOVE this jacket! The fact that he makes his jackets from salvaged Vintage materials and recycled materials is awesome! These jacket's are beautiful and all I can say is that I want one! Who wouldn't feel like kicking some ass in that?! Love the work Mr. Luxkool! :) Here's a little about what the guy behind the jacket's has to say about himself and his business: "I am a British guy that has lived in Thailand for a number of years now. From living here I have found Thailand to be a truly amazing country for the vintage scene and huge base for vintage products. In that time, through a lot of hard work, dedication and development, I have learned how to design and create different styles of leather jackets using original vintage materials. From start to finish the whole process can be frustrating, tiring and long but seeing the end result can be so rewarding in itself!"

As I discussed above with the Kallia Bag, Fotini of Home Lab and Milloo is a favorite designer of mine! Her hand knit item's here at Home Lab are exceptional pieces. Fashionable, and still made by hand with so much love! Fotini is a Mama, designer and artist from Greece. Here is what she has to say about herself "Just another woman who turns her hobby into business. I start knitting from as long as I remember. First, little clothes for my dolls. Later, for myself, friends and my kids. I quit my morning job working as an accountant, which was not very creative. I prefer myself the way I am now, spending more time with my kids and knitting things that I like for people all over the world." Stop by her shop and see what I mean for yourself. (Hmmm...I'm noticing a pattern here) I can't help but be excited about all of these talented artist's, they make so much wonderful stuff, I could simply use only their shop's for weeks and not be tired. :) Lynn is the self proclaimed dabbler here. :) One of the things I love about her. She somehow manages to do it all, juggling being a full time Mommy, artist and Business woman. I know from my own experience how demanding just one of these things can be, so Lynn, hat's off to you! You're doing it! Keep an eye on this one, she's always coming up something new! Stop by Lynn's shop to see what it is that I am still so excited about!

*please note that this necklace is one of a kind and will vary slightly from the picture"

I am really excited to be featuring a piece from Timothy Adam this week! Tim is one of my favorite artist's and makes all sorts of amazing thing's with metal. This particular necklace, the Sunny Side is my favorite. It is the epitome of what this week's Find's are all about. A hunk of cold metal, manipulated into something beautiful that makes me smile. Thanx Tim, your necklace is this week's inspiration! Tim is a self taught metal artist. Stop by his shop to see all of his amazing work! Letter P Vintage Typewriter Key Ring from Keys and Memories: "Black letter P from a vintage Smith Corona typewriter.
Appx 1/2" or 15mm in size.

Securely mounted on a simple silver tone adjustable form.
The ring is currently a little about a size 6 but can be adjusted to be larger.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
I only use vintage keys from the early 20th century
NO Reproductions.

These keys are decades old and will show some aging and patina but that is what makes them unique."

I LOVE this ring! It is the name sake for this week's edition of the Find's! I've personally dubbed it the "P for Possibilities" Ring! :) I suppose the P could also be for Punk Rock, or for Peace, Prosperity, PRETTY!! :) Anyhow, ...Elizabeth is the artist behind Key's and Memories. I first saw her as an Etsy Featured Artist, you can find that interview HERE, and love what she does! She collects "old stuff" as she puts it, and loves the past. She takes old thing's and breathes new life into them! (My favorite kind of artist!) You should really stop by her shop and check her out! She makes a beautiful assortment of thing's full of Vintage love!

Take flight leather belt buckle from Flight Path Designs: "Bird silhouette that is permanently set onto leather. The technique I use for these pieces is similar to a 'tattoo' process, where the leather completely absorbs the ink, revealing the subtle textures of the grain. I also finish the pieces with a non-toxic sealant which gives the piece a nice finish and ensures the buckle is completely weather-proof!

The buckle measures 7.25 cm x 5.25 cm(2.85" x 2.07").
This bird image is black, set against an auburn orange sky. A very versatile piece that can be worn with many different outfits-it looks especially striking next to black. A great gift for the bird lover or appreciator of things in flight.
The buckle is meant to be attached to a snap, western style belt-up to a width of 1-3/4". The belts are sold separately, in these colors; wood grain brown, dark brown, red, black and burgundy with a myriad of snap colors. Please message me should you require a belt or look under my belt listing for more detailed photos.
*buckles are shipped in a lovely gift box with the flight path logo*"

I have to be honest here. I only just discovered these lovely works of art from Flight Path Design's this week! I actually even changed out the original belt buckle I had in this week's Find's for this one. It's so beautiful! Naomi is the talented lady behind Flight Path Design's. She is a trained Conceptual textiles artist with a BA in Fine Art's. She started Flight Path in 2007 and has been going strong ever since! Here is a little about what Naomi has to say about herself and her shop. "Inspired by a love of bold patterns, design and traveling, Flight Path was created in 2007 as a way to merge these three passions. My work utilizes a combination of found imagery from my travels, vintage prints and leather to create a line of belts, handbags and adornment for the body.
I have been incredibly fortunate to be able to make my living off my line of handmade leather products. I love what I do and I hope that my clients appreciate the products that I have crafted!"

Naomi and Flight Path Design's will definitely be back in my Find's again very soon!
